Do you do piercings?
How much is my tattoo?
The price will depend on placement, design, size and details.
The best way to get an estimate is to fill out a consultation request form.
We do not give estimates over the phone.
Do you sell supplies?
Do you have a shop minimum?
Yes, it's $80.
Do you take walk-ins?
Walk-ins are always welcome.
Most of the times we have an artist available to accomodate walk-ins.
Because of the current pandemic situaton, walk-ins need to be scheduled ahead.
Give us a call or send us an email to verify availability and/or to book.
Walk-in can only be "scheduled ahead" on the day that you are calling.
We reccomend making an appointment if you want to make sure you are getting in.
How do I book an appointment?
All appointments require you to fill out a CONSUTATION REQUEST form.
Every artist manages their own bookings.
To get in touch with a specific artist please do so from their page and hit the REQUEST button. That will take you to their CONSULTATION REQUEST form.
Filling out a consultation request form does not guarantee the artist will be interested in taking on your project.
After filling that out you will be sent an automated email, PLEASE READ IT as it has important information about the booking process.
We require a deposit for all regular appointments that will be put towards your tattoo.
After given an appointment date and time, you will be sent a deposit invoice through SQUARE. You will have a couple of days to pay it, if you don't pay the deposit you will lose your appointment. We will not send you a bunch of reminders, we do not have time to babysit people. It's easy: APPOINTMENT + DEPOSIT = IT'S A GO!
Can I cancel/reschedule my appointment?
We require a minimum of 48 hours to cancel/reschedule your appointment or your deposit will be forfeited. If you "No Call-No Show", your deposit will be forfeited and you will need to put down another deposit to book another appointment.
All drawings are the property of Black Sails Tattoo and will not be given to the customer or sent via email/ txt.

After care recommendation
All of our artists are Bloodborne Pathogens trained and certified and always use sterile instruments.
After you leave our premises it is up to you to take care of your tattoo and keep it safe and clean.
This is what we recommend:
-With CLEAN hands, remove the bandage within a couple of hours.
Wash with warm water and a mild soap.
Pat dry with a clean towel or let it air dry.
Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor.
-KEEP you tattoo clean and WASH it 3 to 5 times a day while healing and use Aquaphor as needed to prevent dryness.
-DO NOT apply Aquaphor without washing and drying your tattoo.
It is fine to wash it in the shower, but do not allow to soak.
-DO NOT pick or scratch any scabbing, allow it to come off on its own.
Scabbing usually flakes off in 7-10 days.
Keep the tattoo clean and continue to use Aquaphor until healed.
-WEAR clean, loose clothing to protect your tattoo while healing.
-DO NOT expose your healing tattoo to sun, swimming, hot tub, the gym, unclean conditions, irritating clothing, or anything that might hinder healing.
-Once your tattoo is healed, use high SPF sunblock when exposed to sun to prevent fading.
-IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS DO NOT HESITATE TO GIVE US A CALL.
All of our artists are trained and certified in IPC (Infection Prevention Control) for Covid-19 as well as in BBP (Bloodborne Pathogens) and will be wearing clean PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) during your appointment.
High contact areas are immediately cleaned and sanitized after each customer.
Appointments only at this time.
Same day walk-in appointments might be available, please give us a call to schedule.
Please wear a clean face mask (a bandana or a scarf are not acceptable face coverings) before you enter the shop and come to your appointment by yourself, no extra guests will be allowed in.
Upon entering the shop you will be given hand sanitizer.
Consultations will need to be scheduled ahead, please give us a call or email us to do that.
At this time we are not tattooing anyone above the neck, no exceptions.

Do you do finger tattoos?
Yes, we do but we can't guarantee them.
Finger tattoos are tricky. The skin on fingers is much different than other parts of the body and does not retain ink well. We do warn clients about this and we cannot be held responsible if the tattoo will not end up staying.
More times than not finger tattoos will not stay or "fall out" and they will require touch ups. Because of that we charge again if the tattoo needs to be touched up. No exceptions.
Can I bring a guest to my appointment?
That means: no friend, no partner, no wife/husband, no relative, no baby, no animal.
Only the client getting tattooed will be allowed in the shop, no exception.
